Join DMN Young Leaders Competition 2025 and be part of our efforts in promoting peace and disarmament through innovative projects and advocacy initiatives.
Who can enter?
Any young people aged between 7 and 35 years old around the world.
Theme
Theme: "Empowering Youth for Peace: Advocating for a Nuclear-Free Future"
Participants are invited to write an essay (up to 1000 words) or create a video (maximum 3 minutes) that explores innovative ways to amplify the voices of young people in the movement for a peaceful world without nuclear weapons.
Timeline
The competition will run from 1 October 2025 to 1 January 2026 (23:59 GMT+7) (Including the time of Like and Share contest on social media). The winners will be announced on 18 January 2026.
The Award Ceremony will be organized on 19 January 2026 tentatively
DMN Young Leaders Competition, inherited from the SDGs Competition, is an initiative organized by DMN Initiative in various formats, including academic writing, drawing, or creating videos since 2019. The competition aims to engage young leaders around the world in finding innovative solutions to address common community problems while promoting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. By encouraging participation and showcasing the creative contributions of young individuals, the competition serves as a platform to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders to actively contribute to sustainable development and create positive change in the world.

Selection Committee
In order to review a thousand submissions and select the winners of DMN Young Leaders Competition annually, DMN Initiative invites experts who are lawyers, senior diplomat officials, senior teachers and representatives of UN, NGOs, Youth Union, Local Government and other stakeholders to join our Selection Committee.
The winners will receive Merit Certificates and gifts and/or cash from the Leaders of DMN and other Partners. In addition, for the winning essays and paintings, we will publish them in DMN Journal, Fanpage and Website.
