DMN President Paid Courtesy Call on the President of the Parliament of Catalunya

On 12 June 2025, on behalf of the DMN Initiative – SDGs Council – DMN Foundation, H.E. Mr. Dao Manh Nghia, President of the DMN Initiative, paid a courtesy call to M. H. Sr. Josep Rull i Andreu, President of the Parliament of Catalunya.

Accompanying the DMN President was Ms. Yoonseo Kim, a Member of the DMN Secretariat and DMN Youth Ambassador for South Korea.

During the official visit to the Parliament headquarters, H.E. Mr. Nghia was warmly received by staff from the Office of the President, who offered a detailed overview of the Parliament’s historical legacy, institutional structure, and legislative functions. The delegation was given a tour of key areas, including committee rooms and party chambers, and was introduced to the Parliament’s efforts to promote youth participation in governance, with particular attention to its young parliamentarian development programs.

A notable highlight of the visit was a discussion on how citizens engage with their elected representatives, emphasizing the Catalan Parliament’s strong commitment to transparency, accessibility, and democratic accountability.

This meaningful exchange marked a significant step in the DMN Initiative’s mission to promote international dialogue, build cross-regional partnerships, and amplify youth voices in democratic institutions around the world.
